What were the No Quarter Boxing results for Carbon Gym?

Carbon Gym went two from two at No Quarter Boxing on Friday 23 October 2026 at Geelong West Town Hall. Oliver Pinfold won by split points decision, and Kayden Hunt won by unanimous points decision. Both fights went the distance and were decided by the judges.

  • Oliver Pinfold: won by split points decision.
  • Kayden Hunt: won by unanimous points decision.

If you missed the build-up, our No Quarter Boxing preview has the details on the night.

Oliver Pinfold: a split decision win

Oli made weight at 72.9kg and was first up on the night in Fight 1. Opening a card is never easy. You walk out to a fresh crowd and there’s no time to settle in.

A split decision means two judges scored the fight for Oli and one scored it for his opponent. Close fights test your nerve as much as your skills, and he held his.

Kayden Hunt: a unanimous decision win

Kayden made weight at 70kg and fought later on the card. He won by unanimous points decision, which means all three judges scored it his way.

A unanimous decision usually comes from winning rounds clearly, one after another. That’s what weeks of steady, unglamorous work looks like on fight night.

A big thank you to Coach Billy, Rob and Garry

Fighters get their hands raised, but they never get there alone. Coaches Billy, Rob and Garry did a great job getting both boys ready for Friday night.

That meant early mornings, pad rounds, sparring and plenty of corner work. It also meant keeping the boys calm, on weight and sharp for fight week. Thanks, coaches. The results speak for themselves.

How do fighters prepare for an amateur fight?

Getting ready for an amateur bout takes weeks of structured training. Fighters do pad work, bag rounds, conditioning and controlled sparring, then make weight at an official weigh-in. A good coach builds the plan, runs the corner and keeps the fighter safe and confident.

You don’t need to want a fight to train like a fighter. Most people who box at Carbon never step in a ring. They come for the fitness, the skills and the crew.

Can you start boxing after watching a fight night?

Yes. Plenty of people leave a card like this wanting to try it themselves. At Carbon Gym in Norlane, beginners learn stance, footwork and basic punches first, and work at their own pace. There’s no sparring unless you want it and your coach says you’re ready.

How the No Quarter Boxing results were decided

Amateur bouts are not decided by knockouts alone. The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has explained that amateur boxing awards a point for an effective blow to the head or body, and the judges add those scoring shots up across the fight.

That’s why the No Quarter Boxing results came down to points. Oliver Pinfold’s split points decision and Kayden Hunt’s unanimous points decision both reflect how the judges scored each round.

If you want to see how that scoring works from the inside, the best place to start is a class. Watching a few rounds from the corner teaches you more about scoring than any rulebook.
