Contrast therapy means moving between hot and cold, usually a sauna and an ice bath, in the same session. The heat opens your blood vessels and the cold tightens them. That “pump” helps move blood and flush the waste that builds up when you train. A systematic review and meta-analysis of 13 studies found contrast water therapy eased muscle soreness and protected strength better than just resting.
In plain terms: you feel less wrecked the next day, and you bounce back faster between sessions. That is the whole point. At Carbon you can run a full hot-cold cycle in one visit, then get straight back to training.

How to get the most out of a recovery session
Keep it simple. After training, start in the infrared sauna for 10 to 15 minutes to warm everything up. Then move to the ice bath for a few minutes. Repeat the hot-cold cycle two or three times if you have the time, and always finish on the cold.
On rest days, the sauna on its own is a great way to de-stress and sleep better. Heavy legs after a big week? Ten minutes in the compression boots makes a real difference.
