MMA Trainer and FighterHow did you get into MMA?
I got into MMA through a mate’s friend when I was 17.
Who do you train with, and how has that influenced your journey?
I train with a variety of fighters from all over the world, but the biggest influence on my journey has been my mate Jack.
What is your experience in MMA, both as a fighter and a trainer?
As a fighter, I’ve had 5 MMA bouts, and I’ve competed in countless BJJ tournaments and kickboxing interclubs. As a trainer, I’ve coached many times at my first MMA gym in Melton—Metamorphica.
What do you enjoy most about the sport of MMA?
That feeling you get after a hard training session—seeing your hard work pay off is unbeatable.
What is your training philosophy when coaching others in MMA?
Consistency is key.
What’s your favourite part of seeing your students progress in MMA?
The joy they feel when they realise their hard work is paying off—it’s a great moment.
How do you balance intensity and enjoyment in your MMA training sessions?
It comes naturally for me—I find all of it fun.
What do you believe are the biggest benefits of MMA for those who practise it, both in the ring and in everyday life?
It’s huge for mental health.
What advice would you give to someone just starting their MMA journey?
Just keep showing up—it’ll be worth it.
What are some of your interests or hobbies outside of MMA?
Gaming and eating food.
