Carbon Gym Joins Record-Breaking Run 4 Geelong Fundraiser
This past weekend, Carbon Gym was proud to be part of Run Geelong, an event that highlighted the power of fitness and community spirit. With 4,500 participants — the largest turnout in the event’s history — Run Geelong successfully raised a record-breaking $249,000 to support local causes.
Eleven dedicated staff members and gym-goers from Carbon Gym joined the run, each bringing their energy and enthusiasm to this remarkable day. Our personal trainer, Rosie, played a key role in helping participants prepare for the event by creating customised training programmes tailored to their individual needs and goals. Her expertise and support ensured that everyone felt confident and ready to take on the challenge.
Among our standout performers, Scott Troeth finished in the top 80 for the 10km run, showcasing incredible dedication and athleticism. Paula Simon also shone brightly, achieving a personal best for her 10km run while spearheading fundraising efforts for the Carbon Gym group, contributing significantly to the $670 total raised.
The atmosphere at Run Geelong was electric. The sun beamed down as families, friends, and even furry companions gathered to cheer on participants. Local businesses lined the area with vibrant stalls, adding to the festive feel. It was a day where people of all ages and backgrounds came together, embodying the true essence of the Geelong community—strength, support, and shared purpose.
At Carbon Gym, we believe in more than just physical training; we believe in building connections and supporting initiatives that uplift our local community. Run Geelong was a powerful reminder of this mission, and we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute and be part of something greater.
Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and donated. We are inspired by this year’s success and look forward to continuing our commitment to community engagement and wellness.
