Fitness classes, Geelong

At Carbon Gym, we offer a wide range of group fitness classes in Geelong to help you mix up your routine and stay motivated.Β

What Is a Carbon Fit Class?

Carbon Fit is our signature high-intensity group class at Carbon Gym in North Geelong. Each session blends short, sharp intervals of cardio, bodyweight strength, and conditioning work into one fast-moving 45 to 60 minute workout. It’s coach-led, scaled for all fitness levels, and built to torch fat, build cardio fitness and leave you feeling like you actually got something done.

Think of Carbon Fit as the class that does it all. You get the variety of a circuit, the intensity of HIIT, and the structure of a coached strength session, without having to plan a thing.

What Does a Carbon Fit Class Look Like?

A typical Carbon Fit class follows a clear structure: warm-up, technique walkthrough, the main workout (built around timed intervals or stations), and a cool-down. No two sessions are the same. One day might be a sled, kettlebell and rower circuit. The next might be bodyweight tabata with partner finishers. Your body never gets a chance to plateau.

Here’s the rough flow:

  • 10 minutes: dynamic warm-up and mobility
  • 5 minutes: technique walkthrough for the day’s movements
  • 30 to 40 minutes: the main workout (intervals, circuits or stations)
  • 5 minutes: cool-down and stretch

Every movement has a beginner and advanced option, so you’ll never feel left behind.

Is Carbon Fit Suitable for Beginners?

Yes. Carbon Fit is built to scale, with coaches offering modifications for total beginners and progressions for advanced members. You don’t need to be fit before you start, and you don’t need to know what you’re doing on day one. Just show up, follow your coach, and work at your own pace.

The first two weeks are the hardest. By week three, your fitness is jumping and you’ll know half the room by name.

What Are the Benefits of HIIT-Style Group Training?

HIIT-style classes like Carbon Fit are one of the most efficient ways to burn fat, build cardio fitness and increase strength in minimal time. The format keeps your heart rate elevated and your body burning calories long after the class is over, and the variety of movements builds well-rounded conditioning rather than just one fitness “shape.”

Other benefits members talk about:

  • More energy through the day
  • Better sleep
  • Real strength gains, not just “toning”
  • The accountability of a coach and a room
  • The community that turns up for the same 6am class every week

How Often Should I Do Carbon Fit?

Two to four Carbon Fit classes per week is the sweet spot for most people. That’s enough to build serious fitness without burning out, and it leaves room for solo gym work, recovery and life. Many members do three Carbon Fit classes plus a boxing or Muay Thai session for variety.

If you’re brand new, start with two and add a third once it feels easy. Consistency beats intensity every time.

How Much Does Carbon Fit Cost?

Carbon Fit classes are included in our Classes Only membership ($49.99 per week) and our Full Access membership ($69.99 per week, which also includes 24/7 gym access and recovery facilities). Check the membership page for full options.
