Get excited. We have 2 of our own fighting on Hex Fight Series 16 on Saturday 8th September! Cam Dempsey and Jason Petropoulos are preparing to go up against some fantastic fighters at the Melbourne Pavilion.

Cam is ready to go head to head with opponent David Taumoepeau, with 2 wins, 0 losses, 1 KO and 1 Sub under his belt, a style that is a bit ambiguous and seems like primarily a striker. For Cam, this fight is about redeeming himself for what he believes was a “less than stellar pro debut” and getting noticed and into the national rankings. The boys will be fighting at 120kg (Heavyweight).

Jason is up against “Da Fighting Hawaiian” Kai Kamaka III, with 4 wins 2 losses. Kai seems to be a bit of an all rounder with a grinding style. Jason is looking to keep his momentum rolling forward after his gold medal win at Grappling Industries. The boys will be fighting at 61.5kgs (Bantamweight).

Date Saturday 8th September 2018

What Cam and Jason Bring to Hex Fight Series Geelong

Cam is the pressure fighter. He comes forward, eats shots if he has to, and breaks opponents with volume. Jason is more technical. He reads the matchup, counters hard, and looks for submissions on the ground.

Two different styles on one Hex Fight Series Geelong card mean the crowd gets variety, and both athletes fight the way they train.
